Job Summary: Contract (1099) QMS Auditor — Southern California (San Diego & LA Areas)

Colabmo is seeking experienced and detail-oriented contract (1099) Quality Management System (QMS) Auditors to perform comprehensive pre-audits for clients in the Southern California region, primarily focused on San Diego and Los Angeles areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct 1-day remote document audits and 1-day on-site audits (typically scheduled days or weeks apart).
• On-site audits will be performed on weekdays starting at 8:30 a.m.
• Evaluate client QMS processes and procedures against ISO 9001:2015 and related standards.
• Prepare clear, actionable audit reports, highlighting strengths, areas for improvement, and potential nonconformities.
• Collaborate with client teams to provide insights and recommendations for QMS readiness and continual improvement.

Qualifications:

• ASQ Certified Auditor (CQA), Certified Manager of Quality (CMQ), Six Sigma Black Belt (SSBB), or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on auditing experience, ideally in manufacturing, aerospace, medical devices, or technology sectors.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and audit methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently with a professional, client-facing demeanor.
• US Citizenship is required.

Additional Details:

• This is intermittent contract work and not a full-time position at this time.
• Travel within the Southern California region (San Diego and Los Angeles areas) is required.
• NDAs will be required with Colabmo and may also be required with end customers.
• Compensation is based on experience, with additional bonuses available for high client satisfaction ratings.
